Suspect208 Part Ways with Frontman Noah Weiland

There’s been a spot of drama in Suspect208 camp overnight which has left the promising rising stars without a singer and their future musical endevours on hold. With well over a million YouTube views and a quarter million plays on Spotify with their two songs ‘Long Awaited and ‘All Black, (that were only just released in early November and December respectively) this latest hurdle may set them back a bit of time.

Overnight frontman Noah Weiland (who goes under the artist name “Roman”) posted to his Instagram Stories the band were trying to kick him out, with the reason being that he was “going thru shit” and the band’s vision “COMPLETELY changed” behind his back.

Noah’s ousting was later confirmed in a statement from the band where they revealed:

“As many of you know, we let our singer, Noah, go. We were really close to him and it is the last thing we would’ve ever wanted to do, but it had to be done for his safety, as well as the longevity of the band. This decision was made by the band because it was the last thing we could do to keep going. Noah was not writing lyrics or lifting his weight in the band for two months before we let him go. He was heading down a dark path of drug use that got in the way of our friendship as well as the band. Lastly, there were many instances of blow-ups over very small issues we’d confront him with. We wish him the best, and we deeply care about him. Thank you to those who stick with us on this journey, we are very grateful.”

The remaining members, guitarist Niko Tsangaris, bassist Tye Trujillo and drummer London Hudson have now issued a call out for a new singer, aged between 18-24, living in LA and who can cover Led Zeppelin’s ‘Black Dog‘ via audition as well as listing three musical influences.

This exciting new group told us during our interview an EP in 2021 was on the way, after receiving worldwide attention and praise for their two initial outings, the second of which was filmed at the iconic club The Viper Room. It’s unclear how this news will affect their future release plans.

Fan responses have been mixed, with some already calling for the return of Noah. There’s a few “WTF’s” mixed in. Some fans have already written the band off whilst others are standing by the lads, regardless of the outcome. Needless to say, interest in the singer position is already running hot, with many people wishing they lived in LA, could sing, and weren’t old as fuck. Whoever lands the role has enormous shoes to fill.

We’ll keep you posted on how this develops…
