Josh Middleton’s Sylosis Drop New Track ‘Worship Decay’

It’s been a huge year of new music for Josh Middleton. You might recognise his bald head and talent from Architects, but did you also know he has his own screamy metal band called Sylosis? That venture released Cycle of Suffering, their first new album in 5 years way back in February (our review here) and from there, the world hit the shit and the band had a whole bunch of plans canned for the year that was 2020…

But, the time off birthed new song ‘Worship Decay‘ which was originally planned for the band’s next album, however when you can’t do anything or tour and you’ve finished work on the next Architects album, then why not drop a surprise track for fans!

On the newbie, Josh says:

“With everything happening in our world right now, we wanted to keep things moving in Sylosis’ world. We started writing new music as we entered the first set of lockdowns and ‘Worship Decay’ quickly developed as a song we feel confident stands up by itself and showcases something different for Sylosis. We’re of course looking forward to playing music live again (hopefully soon!), but it feels great to be able to continue creating music and sharing it with our fans during this time of uncertainty and unrest.”

Get it into you below and if you’re new to Josh’s side project make sure you stream Cycle of Suffering here, suss out our interview with the man about the band here and catch up on what you missed before the pandemic hit…
