There’s a New Alternative Festival on the Horizon… Say Hello to the GC’s Inverted Fest 2021!
It’s been a while since the Gold Coast hosted a decent music festival (looking at you, Big Day Out and IndyFest) but today a new breed has been announced which is set to combine punk-rock, skate, FMX and BMX for one day at Metricon Stadium… and IT’S ALL AGES!
Inverted Festival will feature the likes of SKEGSS · SPIDERBAIT · THE CHATS · TROPHY EYES · WAAX · STAND ATLANTIC & FANGZ alongside over 20 of Australia’s most exciting action sports athletes including JOSH SHEEHAN · JACKSON STRONG · HARRY BINK · RYAN WILLIAMS · BRANDON LOUPOS · TOMMY FYNN · HAYLEY WILSON · MATT WHYATT · JAIE TOOHEY · KYLE BALDOCK · LOGAN MARTIN · CLINTON MOORE · STEVE MINI & LANCE RUSSEL.
On the new event, Six-time X Games Best Trick gold medallist Jackson Strong says:
“We haven’t been able to compete in over a year due to Covid restrictions and we’re stinging to get back out there and rip in for fans. The competition at Inverted Festival is going to be fierce, with the world’s best action sports athletes going head-to-head and I can’t wait to get out to be a part of it.”
This event will be held with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment, with a capacity of 24,000 at Metricon Stadium. Second Sunday and TEG Van Egmond will work closely to comply with all requirements of the public health authorities.
