Keen For New Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!? This Collab Featuring Bert Might Be Up Your Alley!
When we caught up with Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! frontman Bertrand Poncet just last month, he told us that he's super excited on the new material they've been writing and can't wait for everyone to hear it.
Well, it looks like the frontman has been fuelling his creativity in other projects while new Chunk! material is being manifested. Bert has teamed up with his friends in the French EDM scene, DVRK and Helzak, for a Punk/EDM mashup which, not going to lie, sounds pretty decent.
The intro sounds vaguely reminiscent of Kayzo's collab with All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth, 'Up in Flames'. However, 'Unbreakable' does build up into a somewhat heavy, pop punky chorus that's straight up familiar territory for Chunk! fans. I don't know about you, but this may tide you over til the band's official new material is out.
