Killer Be Killed’s Troy Sanders Assigns Each Member To A Sex & The City Character… Yes, Were Serious!
This Friday Killer Be Killed FINALLY release their highly anticipated sophomore album Reluctant Hero (our review here) and the hype game is fucking strong. There’s not a fan out there that isn’t keen to hear this follow-up release the band have been working HARD on the promotional tour, conducting interviews all over the place and getting us all ready for what’s to come by answering all the same old questions: “What took so long? How hard do you riff? Do you miss Max’s dreadlock?” blah blah blah… but what you never read or hear is the band showing a side of them we never knew they had!
If you missed it a few weeks back we caught up with bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders to talk about the band getting back together and the fun they have in the studio. He jokingly revealed to us that he passive/aggressively likes to carry around his Grammy Award that he won (with his main band Mastodon) and allude that he knows a bit about what makes a killer song, but he also revealed that he’s a fan of romantic tv shows and sitcoms it seems:
“I’ve seen every episode of Sex & The City and more importantly I’ve seen every episode of the Golden Girls.”
So, when Browny pressed on the idea, he asked Troy to assign each member of Killer Be Killed to a character from Sex & The City and let us all know which member they’d be best suited for, to which he cheekily replied:
“Greg Puciato would be the, what is it Samatha? The slutty one? Max Cavalera would be the quieter, short-haired/dark-haired girl, Miranda. Ben Koller our drummer, he’s Charlotte. I’m gonna be Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) because I’m doing this interview so I can say that this is all about me, but I’m totally cool with it!”
