State Champs Celebrate 5 Years of Around the World & Back!

US pop punk legends State Champs might already be working on their forthcoming fourth album, but they’re also set to celebrate five years of their second full-length album, Around the World and Back next week with an exclusive live stream on Twitch. While it’s a little unorthodox for bands to celebrate a milestone like five years, most bands tend to wait for the big ten year to shine a light on their OG records. But I love that the band are taking this weird time in our lives to look back and revisit their break through albums.

Around the World and Back was a stellar pop punk album and featured some of State Champs’ biggest songs to date such as ‘All You Are Is History’, ‘Losing Myself’ and ‘Secrets’. This release saw the boys open for 5SOS on their massive arena tour in Australia and New Zealand back then too. Huge!

The Twitch live stream celebration will be held next Thursday 15th October at 11am AEST. The band will be sharing stories, pictures, giveaways, maybe a performance or two? Sounds fun!

Oh, and ICYMI—State Champs recently dropped an acoustic UNPLUGGED EP earlier this year, featuring four new tracks (our review here). This is why they’re one of our fave pop punk bands around right now.

Chip in a buck or two for the WoS crew!
