Melbourne pop punkers Paperweight are doing wonders for the Australian music community this year, having introduced their nostalgic, catchy energy during this dark time of living through a pandemic. Following previous songs 'Waster' and 'The Kids on the Ground', the band are set to become your anchor and saving grace from here on out and have just dropped their third single, 'Paper Anchors'. One listen in and this song might just be your new fave anthem getting you through dark times, with the band sharing:

"Paper Anchors' is about being trapped in a vicious cycle that you want to escape. Being stuck in a routine that you’re struggling to break. Whether it be a relationship, a toxic friendship or just a much needed change. “Is this only temporary, are we too far in?”

These kids are absolutely on fire with three catchy songs under their belt so far, rapidly building momentum quicker than the COVID spread and sharing their love for bands like Neck Deep and Sum 41. Who knows what else they have up their sleeves once live music returns?
