Machine Gun Kelly’s Pop Punk Album Has Been Announced!

It’s here. Well, the official word anyway. Machine Gun Kelly will be dropping his full-length solo album, Tickets to My Downfall towards the end of this month on September 25th. After hearing ‘Bloody Valentine’, ‘Concert For Aliens’ and ‘My Ex’s Best Friend’ so far, this album is shaping up to be one of the best releases of 2020. If Machine Gun Kelly is the one to bring pop punk back to the mainstream, well, I’m not mad at all.

The tracklisting reveals the album will feature 15 songs overall, with plenty of cameos, including pop songstress Halsey. If this and the fact that the whole album was produced by Blink-182’s Travis Barker, well, MGK has lined himself up with the right team with his forthcoming release as he transitions from a rapper to the pop punk arenas. I honestly can’t fucking wait for Tickets To My Downfall to drop!

Kelly recently won his first MTV VMA Award this week with his hit track ‘Bloody Valentine’ in the Best Alternative Video category. While the MTV VMA’s has been on a steady decline in relevance since the mid-2000’s, we reckon MGK’s win is a big win for everyone in the alternative/pop punk community. To see the potential, check out his stellar performance below at the VMA’s earlier this week of ‘My Ex’s Best Friend’ and ‘Bloody Valentine’ with Blackbear and Travis Barker.
