Agnes Manners Unveil Band Lineup, Debut Album Details + New Single ‘Evergreen’

With two great tracks under his belt now with his new band Agnes Manners, it has finally come time for ex-Hellions member Matt Gravolin to spread his wings and show us what he’s been working on (and who with) as today he announces his new project’s debut album Fantasia Famish will be released on September 18th.

But first, the band! Joining Matt to make up Agnes Manners will be Lachlan Monty and Alexander Trail of Bad/Love (former members of Make Them Suffer and Storm The Sky) and CJ James of Cottonmouth. We obviously already know that Dream State‘s CJ Gilpin featured as a cameo voice on their first single ‘As Long As You’re Mine‘ and Trophy Eyes frontman John Floreani popped up on the last single ‘Sydney.

But the good news doesn’t end there, Matt and co.’s latest song is ‘Evergreen‘ which he explains:

“Evergreen went through many structural, lyrical and melodic changes before reaching the place of tropical romance I had envisioned… The song is about surrendering to love and letting it change you – Shane (Edwards, producer) and I started to find musical and lyrical congruence by taking a Gospel route and ended up in flowerchild Americana territory – definitely a first for me.”

I’ve been saying it since the first song dropped but if you loved the more pop/melodic tracks on Hellions last album Rue, this is going up be right up your alley and chances are you’re going to fall in love instantly with this upcoming debut release!
