It’s about time we see a band honing in on that alt-rock/post-grunge sound of yesteryear and luckily for us, ADKINS are Australian and they’ve perfected that unique style with their latest offering ‘Time Waster‘.
On the new song, the bands says:
This single takes on the classic love ballad, a song about self-awareness, realising that time is finite, and using that time on the people that matter most.
Immediately after hitting play, you’ll be met with similar vibes like that of Creed, Alter Bridge and even the rockier tunes of Incubus, something we haven’t really heard much of in recent times in Australia’s rock music scene. The track itself is from the band’s forthcoming debut album The Wrong Side Of Fame which is set for release on July 3rd and (spoiler alter) there’s a vast array of different styles on this release which will please even the biggest rock critic. Don’t you love a bit of musical diversity from a fresh AF act?
On that subject, the boys added:
The debut album features an array of different sounds as part of ADKINS’s unique fusion of decades of rock and metal inspiration, from the classic 70s and 80s rock and metal, to the modern metal staples. Overall, the album deals with the dark sides of self-important or selfish people, and how self-importance manifests itself in the material world, and the flow on effects these manifestations have on others, whether it be mental or physical.
