Happy Drop New Single ‘Sick is the New Sane’
US pop punk act Happy might have the most interesting band name I’ve heard in a while, but the three-piece are onto a good thing with their latest track. ‘Sick is the New Sane’ is an energetic, melancholy tune fuelled by pop-driven guitars blaring out your windows on a roadtrip through the coast. The band however, explains the song dives deep into one’s mental health:
“When you are an artist you have an obligation to uphold a certain amount of attention and interest online. This song is about feeling detached from real life due to constantly feeling the need to be present online and the effect it has on our psyche and mental health.”
It’s a solid track of pop punk goodness, and the band are shaking hands with the right people it seems, with their 2018 debut album being produced by Cartel frontman Will Pugh. Keen to see more from this act!
