Bad Cop/Bad Cop Have A New Hard-Hitting Song For You!

After debuting their new album The Ride‘s first single ‘Simple Girl‘ (revisit it here) Bad Cop/Bad Cop fans have been eagerly anticipating the next release and luckily for you, it’s finally here!

Pursuit of Liberty‘ was penned by the band’s bassist Linh Le and is about the US Government’s awful treatment of refugees (hmm, sounds like the same thing going on here in Australia…), something that hits close to home for her and her family:

“My family fled Saigon in 1975. They were given a chance. So, why isn’t the same thing still happening for everyone fleeing their danger? How have we gone from “The Land of the Free” to “Build that Wall?”

The song isn’t (just) about my family. I wrote this song to bring awareness to a completely disgraceful treatment of refugees. My family’s part in the song is just my way of showing how personal it is to me. But the message is about ALL REFUGEES”
