Violent Soho’s Marketing Team Need A Payrise For Their Latest Stunt

Violent Soho are planning to do something that hasn’t been done before and before you criticise them, just remember, us Queenslanders are a different bunch to you snobs in Sydney or you hipsters in Melbourne…

On Friday (tomorrow) morning at 11am the band plan to live stream a boombox playing their new album Everything Is A-OK from the middle of Suncorp Stadium aka the home of the mighty Brisbane Broncos!

In my 12 years working in the music industry, I have never seen or heard fo an idea like this and the funny thing is, it’ll actually fucking work too because what else is going on in your life!? Guitarist James Tidswell spoke about some of the clever (and funny) marketing plans the band came up with for the album when he co-hosted our podcast Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall (revisit that episode here) so seeing them pull this idea out of nowhere is no surprise to me to be honest, but for the rest of you who missed the interview, go check it out to see what else they had planned!

Their new album was a great listen (my review here) so if you haven’t jumped on board yet, maybe this will be what gets you over the line!
