Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe Popped Up On Saudade’s New Track ‘Lions’

I’ve said this multiple times before but I love me a good collaboration and this one is no different… Chuck Doom has formed an instrumental based, genre-crossing act called Saudade which is kind fo like atmospheric rock with a touch of heavy and his latest offering just so happens to feature Lamb of God‘s Randy Blythe and goddamn it’s pretty good.

Lions‘ kicks off pretty slowly with an almost gothic vibe behind it before Randy’s heavy screaming kick in and step things up a notch. The instrumentals really bring out the vocals in this track which also features Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry of The Upsetter. The pair are also joined by Dr. Know (Bad Brains) on Guitar, David Torn (David Bowie) with Guitar and Live Loops, John Medeski (Medeski Martin & Wood) on the Mellotron, Acoustic Piano, Robert Thomas Jr. (Weather Report) using Hand Drums, Mackie (Cro-Mags) behind the Drums and the man himself Chuck Doom (Crosses, Team Sleep) with Bass, Bass Pans, Guitar, Keyboards, Programming.
