US rock band Evanescence are on the comeback train right now, having announced a string of live appearances in 2020 from Knotfest in the US, a UK/European tour and an appearance at Download Festival Japan. While the band are also working on brand new music to coincide with all these appearances, they're keeping the fans at bay at least by releasing their take on Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'.

The track is being used to promote the latest game from Xbox's Gear 5, and vocalist Amy Lee is as mesmerising as ever on this cover:

“This cover was so fun to make. We love Fleetwood Mac and wanted to paint a dark and epic picture with our take on ‘The Chain'. The lyrics make me feel the power of standing together against great forces trying to pull us apart, perhaps even from the inside. I really wanted to drive that home in our version, and even made everyone in the band sing by the end of it! We’re beyond excited to share this with our fans and I’m really looking forward to playing it live.”

Here's hoping Evanescence make an appearance at Download Festival Australia (since Japan's dates are reaaally close to ours!) so we can see them take over again!
