First Taste Of New Children Collide

It’s been 7 long years since we last heard anything new from Children Collide. They left us with their 2012 album Monument, and we haven’t been satisfied since. But, hello! Feast your eyes and ears on their fresh new track.

Returning with the unmistakable trademarks of Children Collide, ‘Aurora‘ is a love letter to humanity’s grand illusions.

“I kept listening back to the demo and remembering how much fun it was playing this kind of music,” says vocalist/guitarist Johnny Mackay of the track. “It was originally written for our third album Monument, so it’s felt like unfinished business ever since and a big part of the reason we made another album. In the end it felt like it was burning a hole in my hard drive, so we had to put it out.”

Aurora‘ was dropped without too much fanfare – a premiere on Triple J and the announcement of two shows only. So if you’re in Sydney and Melbourne, well, you lucky bastards. As for the rest of us, we just hope that all the teasers they’ve been dropping on their Facebook page about a CC album no.4 comes our way very soon.
