Fred Durst MAY Be Teasing An Australian Visit

If you’re a serial social media junkie like us, then you would you have come across a sneaky little Instagram Story by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst in your travels where he’s filmed himself with a kangaroo emoji on his lips. Nothing was confirmed or even mentioned about a tour, but he did utter the words:

“What would you do… if I take off to”

Now, looking at options for the man and myth that is Durst, he’s got a couple of projects and possibilities for why he may be coming to Australia…

#1 – The Fanatic (Promo)

His new movie The Fanatic starring John Travolta and Devon Sawa is set for release on August 30th in the states, it’s currently unknown if the movie will receive an Australian release, but, chances are he’ll be heading down under for some press for it, much like how KoRn‘s Brian ‘Head’ Welch came to Australia to promote his movie Loud Krazy Love earlier this year. This seems to be the obvious and most logical answer!

#2 – Another Music Festival Appearance

This is a long shot but we’re gearing up for the announcement of the Good Things Festival (any day now) and it could be that Limp Bizkit are on the lineup (maybe even headlining). They were last in Australia for Download Festival 2018 and it’s sideshows (our Brisbane coverage here), but over 12 months later and STILL without new music or an album announcement, they could make the lineup. I don’t see this being logical but it’s worth a mention.

#3 – An Australian Tour

Back in 2018 for their DL appearance, the band only played in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane for their sideshows, so maybe, they’re heading back for a string of shows, maybe even in support of someone bigger and that could be why they’re returning so soon. This is all speculation, but they have been playing a new song called ‘Wasteoid‘ at their most recent shows, so maybe that new music/album isn’t too far away and they could be playing here first to celebrate!?

Only time will tell, but it seems very random for Durst to drop a hint/clue like that without there being a significant other meaning for it, don’t you think!?

Stay tuned for more!
