Northlane Unleashed 'Talking Heads' + Announced A 2nd Melbourne Show
After months of pleading fans keen as fuck to hear a studio quality version of the new track that has been going off during their live shows, Northlane have finally released 'Talking Heads' and was it worth the wait? You betcha!
When discussing the song, frontman Marcus Bridge revealed it was about some heavy issues he faced in his youth:
“Talking Heads talks about the insecurities and anxiety that come with growing up in a violent home with drug addicted parents. That trauma had made it difficult to express my thoughts and ideas in the past, both emotionally and creatively.”
He adds that the writing process for the track resulted in him being more open and vocal about themes and stories for the rest of the Alien album (which you can pre-order right here)
“We started working on this song pretty early in the process and I think writing it actually started to erase a lot of that insecurity, helping me open up a lot more for the rest of Alien. I think it's important to know that there are a lot of people who feel the same way. I hope with this song and the issues talked about on rest of the album, that people will start to feel comfortable opening up about their past, turning it from a weakness to a strength in the process”
Also, due to overwhelming support for their upcoming Alien Tour they have also announced a second Melbourne show at 170 Russell the night before and also offered up a VIP Package for fans, which includes:
