One of the most important songs of the year was released not too long ago and it comes from Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes who just recently supported Bring Me The Horizon on their East Coast First Love Tour (our Brisbane coverage here) and it turns out they made a whole bunch of new fans in the process, which is great, because they’ve also got a new album coming out on May 3rd called End of Suffering.
The song in question is ‘Anxiety‘ which is about frontman Frank Carter‘s battles with the mental illness and you might remember at the show he mentioned that his Rattlesnakes guitarist Dean Richardson saved his life, and that’s how the song came about. In the new music video, the band have called upon fans and supporters to share what they do to deal with their own anxiety battles and how they want to make #abetterplaceforyouandme. It’s a fantastic way to show that it’s not just the normal everyday people who suffer, but also people in the spotlight like Frank who is using his time to promote healthy mental health for himself and those around him.
Keen as fuck to see what the rest of the album holds for him and the band… Also, if you missed the news, Frank and the band said they’ll “be back in December” so if you didn’t catch them with BMTH, chances are you’ll see them at the end of the year!
If you or anyone you know needs help with their own mental well-being call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or find your closest Suicide Prevention/Crisis Support Organisation on Google…
