Northlane and Ocean Grove did some interesting collaborations this week you should check out
Who loves a good collaboration? I sure as hell do!
From Michael Crafter appearing on The Amity Affliction's 'Jesse Intense' through to The Veronicas featuring on Michael Paynter's 'Love The Fall' (get fucked it's a good song), I'm all for guesties and you should be too and this week two very different and unexpected collaborations happened featuring Northlane and Ocean Grove. Let's start with Northlane.
The guys appeared on producer PhaseOne's new song 'Crash & Burn', a metal/dubstep/bass/synth orgasmic assault on the senses which will either divide fans or introduce them to a new style never thought of for the band. The song is from PhaseOne's new album Transcendency which is out on April 17th and also features collaborations with Thy Art Is Murder and Periphery. Metalstep is born and it's not as bad as it sounds.

Next up, Ocean Grove have teamed up with producer duo Super Cruel for their new song '21 Devils' and while this one isn't as heavy as the Metalstep track before it, it's slower, yet still with elements that OG have used in their own style so it's not too far removed from something they would do.
On the topic of the team-up, Ocean Grove's Dale Tanner said:
“This is exactly the kind of stuff we imagined ourselves doing at some point as Ocean Grove, so it was sick to hook it up with the guys and get our first taste of collaborating with musicians from Planet Earth. There’s an electronic undercurrent to a lot of our music so we were all over it when DR. SUPER CRUEL got in touch.”
