Totally Unicorn until New Album ‘Sorry’, New Single + An Australian Tour
The members of Totally Unicorn have slapped on a pair of pants long enough to announce new album Sorry, set for release on April 12th via The Farmer and the Owl. The announcement also sees the release of lead single, ‘I’ll Be Fine Now‘ which treads completely different territory for the band, featuring a bluesy riff, throbbing along slowly before frontman Drew Gardner screams out his sorrows in a wave of distortion. In a press release, Gardner detailed the writing of the song:
“I had about three lines written for this song when I went into the booth to record vocals.
I did this on purpose as I wanted to just be truthful and say what was on my mind and how I felt at that exact moment that the song was about in my life. I wanted to be honest, not trying to hide, taking the whole process as therapy and getting sadness, regrets, and some relief off my chest.”
If that’s not enough for you, Gardner and crew will be playing at a venue near you in celebration of their new album release, where I have no doubt the night will be a non-stop party, where clothing will be optional.
