blink-182's Mark Hoppus and All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth debut new band

Ok, this classifies for the biggest WTF? moment of the week but blink-182 OG Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low have formed a pop rock band called Simple Creatures and released their debut single 'Drug' which is, well, it's kinda catchy as fuck.

The two frontmen share the microphone in a weird (yet arousing) not-father and not-son kind of way with an upbeat love song that's (as expected) full of "na-na's" and cheesy, basic lyrics, but, after listening to it for a few spins, it kinda works well for them.

Alex took to Instagram to spread the news saying:

Hey everybody! You might be wondering just what in the hell is going on with my socials right now. Well, my good friend @markhoppus and I have been quietly making music together for a little while now and we’re finally ready to share it with ya. We’re calling this baby @simplecreatures and we’d like to invite you to join us for the ride. Our first song “Drug” will officially be out everywhere you can hear music when the clock hits midnight your local time.  Go check out SIMPLECREATURESMUSIC DOT COM to hear it right fahkin’ now tho !!

Lets ignore the fact that Alex used to froth over blink-182 back in the early years of ATL and look at these two as musicians for a second, this new venture is a fucking smart idea because they can not only bring in two widened fan bases from various generations, but also set themselves up with attracting the next generation (Gen Z) and potentially dominate the musical market.

Maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome, but I'm actually digging it... Their EP comes out in March and for some bloody reason, I can't wait to hear it. What's going on!!!!

Go Follow the band on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
