Bring Me The Horizon unveil new song ‘mother tongue’
As the band gear up for the release of their new album amo on Friday (our review here) Bring Me The Horizon are dropping hints all over the place for their new songs, some of which will divide fans and some of which sound similar to stuff they’ve done in the past and that’s where their new song ‘mother tongue‘ fits into it all.
The new track was unveiled overnight and as we mentioned in our review, sounds like something that was written during the That’s The Spirit writing sessions as it is similar in sound to Follow You‘, ‘Run‘ and ‘Doomed’ but with a more upbeat tempo. The album features a whole range of drastic differences between songs because as Mat Nicholls said to us, “genres are pointless nowadays” and they want to make music that “music fans” like. Luckily for them, its one of the better songs on the album so take a listen (a couple of times) and get ready for the release of one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2019 on Friday.
Also don’t forget to check out this week’s episode of our Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall podcast which features BMTH drummer Mat Nicholls answering all the questions you want to know about their progression, style change and that heavy medley coming to Australia. Do that right here!
