An Intimate Chat About Being An Artist in 2018 with Lindsay Schoolcraft (Cradle of Filth)

Dec 31, 2018
4 min read

While still being integral to English metal powerhouse Cradle of Filth since 2013, multi-instrumentalist Lindsay Schoolcraft (keyboards, vocals) has decided to carve her own path - and it involves a DJ mixer instead of a keyboard.

When we sat down to have a chat last week ahead of her travels to Australia, the milestone of organising her very first solo tour (having not even done it in Canada yet) still hadn't hit the artist. In this intimate chat, the musician shared her perspective on what it means to be an artist in 2018 - from having a strong social media presence to being open-minded with your music choices, while also (simply or not simply) being a nice human being.

Listen to the chat below ahead of Lindsay's first solo gig in Sydney tonight, and be sure to head along to at least one of her three huge shows.
