Ice Nine Kills get into the festive spirit with new music video for ‘Merry Axe-Mas’

From the band’s new album The Silver Scream which not only became an instant fan favourite upon release but also one of our most read articles/reviews of the entire year (catch up here), comes the brand new horror-themed video for Ice Nine Kills song ‘Merry Axe-Mas‘ which (as you probably guessed already) was based upon the classic Silent Night, Deadly Night.

This time, the video depicts a young protagonist playing a violent video game as Santa, dropping bombs down chimneys and decapitating evil elves (so, you know, better than Fortnite) and the end result is actually a pretty good job.

Earlier this year we caught up with I9K frontman Spencer Charnas who told us “The new album is really the definitive Ice Nine Kills album, it’s taking our love of horror to the next level, with every track being based on a classic horror film” and with everything from Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jaws, Saw, Friday the 13th and IT being covered, as we said too, its a horror movie lover’s wet dream album and the one that’ll get you hooked on the band and their talent.
