Sea Shepherd is a global movement which targets illegal activity in our oceans. Our Operations focus on the most destructive threats to our marine environment, from defending endangered creatures almost hunted to extinction, removing deadly 'ghost nets' floating like walls of death in the sea, to helping countries patrol their territorial waters protecting them from poachers. Sea Shepherd is a grassroots-based organization relying solely on donations and volunteers, so support from artists is imperative to get the word out about our work.
Metal & Punk music has become a driving force for activism, as a voice for their generation, heavy music lends a louder-than-ever voice to speak for the future of our oceans. The heavier the music the kinder the heart in our experience! We really value this contribution to conservation and we know many of their fans do too.
