Totally Unicorn drop new single 'Grub' + announce East Coast tour
Sydney's Totally Unicorn have reemerged from a break where they've been busy writing and recording their new material and finally we get our first taste of what they've been cooking with new single 'Grub' released today.
In the past, the lads have written about partying lifestyles but this time around, it's more serious topics according to frontman Drew Gardiner:
"‘Grub’ is about the lure of vices – alcohol, drugs, gambling -everything that in excess, weighs life down, making it more difficult and harder to deal with... It’s about friends who are in the same situation, giving advice about how badly you’re cooking life: a pot-calling-the-kettle-black kind of scenario, and that person’s dissatisfaction with you when you disregard said advice."
Heavy, but important stuff to discuss through the music which has been produced by JonathanBoulet and JamesBalderston, who previously worked with the likes of HighTension and LucaBrasi. Fans won't have to wait long to see the band's new four-piece lineup consisting of former Robotosaurus drummer AdamMyers, guitarist Aaron Streatfeild, bassist LeeNeilson and Drew up front because they're heading up the East Coast in November in support of the new release.
