For the debut of FKA (Formerly Known As) Festival in the Hunter Valley, the turn out proved there still is a want/need for music festivals to sprout their wings and pop up in locations other than capital cities.

Featuring a plethora of Triple J favs, the stand out bands of the weekend were the ones with the majority of the younger crowds keen to catch their sets, including Trophy Eyes, Tired Lion and Luca Brasi. However, you can’t beat the classics (as they say) with The Belligerents, Kingswood and British India proving they’ve still got what it takes to work the crowd after all this time.

A great first outing and I’m keen to see where they take it from here.
