With their new album Misery out (our review here) and a whole stack of new songs ready to be showcased, the next question fans of The Amity Affliction want to know is, when will the guys be touring it?
In the past, they've released a new album and announced tour dates (usually) around the same day, but this time around we didn't hear anything from the band on Friday, so Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall podcast host Browny hit up frontman Joel Birch about when we'll see the Brisbane lads hitting the road, to which he replied:
"We won't be in Australia until late next year I believe. We've been working on the lineup since before we even recorded the album and we're part of the way there. The lineup is pretty fuckin' crazy and we just wanna make sure it's something a bit bigger than normal and hopefully we'll be bringing something to the table that is sort of like a thank you at the same time as just a usual tour... and probably something that people can really remember"
The last time Amity teased a BIG tour was in 2015 when they teamed up with A Day To Remember for the Big Ass Tour alongside Motionless in White and Hands Like Houses (who replaced The Ghost Inside following their tragic bus accident). Last year they teamed up with the interesting lineup combination of PVRIS, Beartooth and Make Them Suffer for an East Coast Tour (our Brisbane coverage here).
Stay tunes for what's to come but until then, check out the latest episode of our Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall podcast series featuring the full, Joel Birch co-hosting interview right here.
