The first band has been announced for the new Good Things Festival

Over the weekend, posters for Good Things Festival popped up along Australia’s East Coast in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane telling punters something was coming in December, this was later confirmed by Destroy All Lines (and ex-Soundwave Festival) General Manager Chris O’Brien who tweeted overnight the first band was going to get announced today:

And it’s official, the band making their debut in Australia for the new event will be Boston Manor who have their second album Welcome To The Neighbourhood coming out on September 7th via Pure Noise/Sony Music Australia. The pop punkers are sure to please some eager fans who have been waiting for them to show their faces down under since forming back in 2013.

Chris also tweeted that we can expect the dates of the event next week and that the festival will be a chance to highlight the talent of a lot of younger acts who deserve recognition, Boston Manor obviously being the first on his list.

Stay tuned for more on this exciting turn of events in Australia’s Live Music/Festival Scene and remember…
