Melbourne hard rockers Ablaze recently dropped their new single, ‘Just A Taste’, a beer-soaked dose of hard rock that serves as a great taste of what’s to come on their upcoming debut album. Following in the veins of Australian rock legends such as Airbourne, Ablaze started gigging around Melbourne in 2014. Their EP, No Turning Back, earned the attention of The Screaming Jets, who picked them up as support for a few shows.
After scoring a spot on the Under the Southern Stars Tour at the start of the year alongside Oz Rock legends such as Jimmy Barnes, they’ve been hard at work in the studio, and are getting ready to kick off a regional tour throughout August and September.
Personally, I think ‘Just A Taste’ sounds slick, with a bluesy opening riff and some great vocal chops from lead singer Danny Slaviero. If the rest of the album sounds like this, Ablaze have really earned themselves their rightful place among Australian rock’s finest.
Have a look at their video below, and if they land in your part of the world, be sure to catch them live.
