Circles announce new album ‘The Last One’ and drop single ‘Breaker’

Prog is alive in Australia and the latest band making waves is Circles who today have announced their new album The Last One will be released on August 31st via Wild Thing Records and Season of Mist, whom the band signed with back in February.

On the new album, guitarist Ted Furuhashi stated:

“The Last One is definitely an album that we’re all proud of. For me personally, it’s the record I’ve always wanted to write. It came from a place of honesty and pure expression. After our first ever European tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan in 2013, I made a conscious decision to make music for myself and not write for expectation. Writing for “The Last One” started as soon as we got back from that tour and as you’d expect, we had songs that didn’t really sound like Circles at all, but we definitely didn’t want our back catalogue to define us or at least define what the next album will be, so we continued writing completely without boundaries.”

To celebrate the news, the boys have also released the new single ‘Breaker‘, another track fans will be able to hear when they hit the road with TesseracT in September before they head over to Europe with Caligula’s Horse from October.
