May 26th, 2018

Its 1987 and 16yr old me is working in a record store when a pre-release demo album lands by some young American band “Guns N Roses”, the cover looks amazing (the now banned one) the owner says lets give it a spin and from the opening riff in ‘Welcome To The Jungle‘ to the closing notes of ‘Rocket Queen‘ I was a fan, the store owner said these guys are going to be big…

Guns n Roses Appetite for DestructionFast forward to 2018 and 47yr old me is watching Steven Adler on stage with his mom* answering questions from fans, from the beginnings of GnR to his time on Celebrity Rehab nothing was left unanswered…

20 minutes later and he is on stage behind his kit and looking the happiest he has ever been with a smile thats a s big as the stage, he is in his element and loving it, with Constantine Maroulis on vocals, Sean McNabb on bass, Carl Restivo on rhythm and Michael Thomas on lead, they power their way through a set consisting of Appetite For Destruction in full with ‘Civil War‘ and ‘You Could Be Mine‘ thrown in for good measure the 17yr old in me was as happy as he was back in 1988 when the original line up graced our shows on the Appetite For Destruction Tour.
