You know how you listen to music countdowns and you can’t help but say to yourself… “WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE HEAVY BANDS?” It happens way too often and can be one of the most infuriating things considering how many quality bands there are that need recognition but are unfortunately still considered a niche genre to mainstream audiences. Well our mates at The Faction are going above and beyond to make sure your heavy music wants and needs will be fulfilled with their very first edition of the Hardest 100 which is set to take place on March 17th, 2018 via the online radio app and we are absolutely stoked to be supporters of this fantastic event.
Its hard to believe that it’s been 50 years since bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple were the first internationally recognized as forefathers of the heavy metal genre… fast forward to today and we’ve seen a fucking shit-tonne of bands and sub-genres emerge and an accumulation of fans across the globe who are all keen as fuck to have some metal in their ears.
To celebrate the first inaugural countdown, there’s some great prizes up for grabs for getting your votes in including a Double Pass to Download Festival Melbourne (including Accommodation and Flights from your nearest Capital City), 5 x $50 24Hundred Vouchers, A Double Pass to Big Sound Festival live shows in 2018, and a $250 Oztix Voucher.
To enter voters MUST download the free The Faction app (Apple and Android apps available at http://thefaction.live) and get the “Codeword” from the OFFERS section to enter into the voting form before submitting their entry. Winners will be announced on Saturday March 17 at the end of the countdown which will kick off from 11am AEDT that day. Stay tuned for more details on who will be hosting the broadcast on the day very soon…
