Circles sign to newly launched music label Wild Thing Records

In a world where heavy music is proving it’s more than just a niche genre, another music label is dipping their toes into the game by officially launching today! Wild Thing Records is the partnership of Eli Chamravi (Wild Thing Presents) and David Roy Williams (DRW Entertainment) who are both key players in the heavy music scene and they’ve announced their first signing, Melbourne prog-metal act Circles.

David weighed in on the future of progressive rock/metal in Australia stating:

Australian musos are smashing down the doors! Eli and the Wild Thing team are making huge inroads taking Australian progressive metal out of small Aussie venues and onto international festival stages, so it’s great to see such an amazing band as Circles joining the fray and taking their music around the globe. Circles have created a new work which is simply astonishing in its scope and we can’t wait to unleash this monster at the ears of fans all over the world.”

To celebrate the news Circles have unveiled a new song called ‘Blueprints for a Great Escape‘ which they’ll be playing when they hit the road from tomorrow alongside Ne Obliviscaris across the country. In addition to Wild Thing Records, French metal label Season of Mist will also distribute the band’s forthcoming album across the globe (excluding Aus & NZ) therefore increasing the band’s awareness to international fans.

Circles guitarist Ted Furuhashi shared the excitement felt throughout the band:

“Stoked and honoured to be teaming up with Season of Mist and Wild Thing Records. It’s been great vibes all round and we know they’re invested in our music as much as we are. It’s been a while but we’re ready to smash it and show you guys what we’ve been up to!

Big ups to everyone involved.
