Welcome back to Episode #25 of Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall, this week featuring two fantastic bands with albums out at the end of the week. The first guest is Of Mice & Men drummer Valentino Arteaga who opens up about his band’s latest album Defy (review here) which marks the first record without former frontman Austin Carlile and their upcoming slot on the very first outing of Download Festival in Australia. Podcast host Browny also grills him to find out if he’s a man or mouse in real life.
Then stay tuned as Earth Caller frontman Josh Collard takes us behind the scenes of his band’s new album Crystal Death (review here) and whether he thinks they’ll beat Of Mice & Men to the #1 spot on the charts; as well as giving us an insight to the brutal inspiration behind their new single which will drop any day now. We also take a look at Josh’s personal life through his musical selections as part of our new segment ‘Two Songs That Changed Me‘ featuring a Queen classic and a vintage Amity Affliction song.
Talking about Amity, we let you know why we were hanging out backstage at UNIFY over the weekend, debut Brand New music for Newcastle’s Lycanthrope and play throwbacks from Underoath, Drown This City, Fall Out Boy, Parkway Drive, Rage Against The Machine and pay tribute to the late and great Dolores O’Riordan who passed away at the weekend.
