Wall of Sound presents: “2017 YEAR IN REVIEW” – by MAKEOUT’s Scott Eckel
Our very own drumming export Scott Eckel has had a pretty ridiculous year with his new US based band MAKEOUT. Not only did the guys release their debut album The Good Life which was produced by the legendary John Feldmann, the lads also teamed up with Travis Barker and members of 5 Seconds of Summer to create some catchy as fuck pop rock songs and got signed to Rise Records. There’s big things on the horizon for the four piece but we’ll discuss that soon… now here’s Scotty’s contribution for our Wall of Sound 2017 Year in Review…

Best Gig You Saw in 2017
“Don Broco at the first Slam Dunk date. Absolutely giant crowd and they crushed every second of it. I think the drummer also jumped in the pit.”
Favourite Moment With Your Band in 2017
“Easy. Definitely our ‘first’ show as this band. Opening for blink-182 in Austin, TX. My family also traveled over to see that show so it was extra extra special.”
Best Show Your Band Played This Year
“Again, with blink, but the Kansas City date was the best. I think there was about 6000-7000 people in a Sold Out arena. Not often you get to do that.”
