Get to know Perth’s Icarus Lives
Earlier this year I visited Perth for the very first time and noticed not only do they have a shitty public transport system, but they’re got a thriving heavy metal community and one of the bands who I got to catch at the Rising Force Heavy Metal Festival were local act Icarus Lives who, with their female lead singer Sara Murray, wasted no time in establishing their talent to the fans who attended on the way.
Think Bullet for my Valentine crossed with Evanescence (the earlier stuff) and you wouldn’t be too far off explaining what this band sounded like. Earlier this year they released their album Vantablack and they’ve just release the second single from it ‘Never Enough‘.
Keep your eye on these upcoming legends, because if all goes well they’ll be popping up at a local (and international) show near you in future years.
