Back in the days of Punk Rock madness bands like The Ramones reigned supreme alongside The Clash and Sex Pistols with their “No Fucks Given” attitude and heavy, anti-conformity rules and lyrical content and it’s out pleasure to unleash all of that again with Episode #20 of Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall featuring the one and only Marky Ramone co-hosting this time around. The legendary drummer takes us back to a time when punk rockers released hard hitting tracks and gained a mass following of rebellious teenagers hell bent on speaking their mind and fighting against what was expected of them. He also gives Australian fans an insight to what songs we can expect on his tour which kicks off this week.
But the fun doesn’t end there, there are plenty of throwbacks to vintage punk bands such as Dead Kennedys, Anti-Flag, Millencolin, Frenzal Rhomb and The Offspring plus new stuff for upcoming acts to keep your eyes (and ears) on like Flangipanis, Camp Cope, The Fever and Loud Goes Bang. Podcast host Browny also pays respect to the now late and great Malcolm Young of AC/DC who passed away over the weekend after battling dementia. He was 64 years old and leaves behind an incredible legacy as the founding member of one of the world’s most recognised and beloved Australian bands.
