Another great upcoming Australian band take centre stage in Episode #14 of Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall; Brisbane’s Sensaii featuring Chris Burt, former rhythm guitarist for The Amity Affliction. Take a listen as Chris discusses the differences between being in an independent band with more creative control than a label signed act who have more restrictions with their music. The Brisbane post-hardcore five-piece just released their latest EP, Dig Deep which debuted at #3 on the Australian Metal iTunes charts and arrived just over a year after the band’s full studio album release Renegade last year (our review here).
Podcast host Browny also brings up the topic of The Amity Affliction‘s debut album Severed Ties which Burt was involed with the making of alongside his brother, drummer Ryan Burt who still remains within the band today. The pair also chat about the possibility of a Burt Brother’s collaboration in future years and whether or not Chris would be interested in joining his former Amity bandmates on stage during their 15th Anniversary set at Unify 2018 (or beyond).
There’s also new music from Bodyjar, The Bronx and Brisbane’s Mindful + we take a look at the best bands who received a nomination for the 2017 ARIA Awards.
