The Darkness Announce New Album ‘Pinewood Smile’ For October Release

One-hit wonder band and alleged British national treasures The Darkness have announced their new album Pinewood Smile for release on October 6th. Having recently toured the country, perhaps it’s fate the band have also graced our ears with a new single entitled ‘All The Pretty Girls‘

Which according to the press release:

“…. is a glorious, hard-rockin’, autobiographical anthem intellectually examining the fact that when you’re a rock star you get a lot of attention from ladies and discussing the ethical conundrums that come with that.”

So not exactly some hard-hitting social commentary. But coming from the band who penned ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love‘ I don’t believe you would expect anything less.

The follow up to previous album Last Of Our Kind is reported to take on the mediocre state of the teen pop generation, smash the EDM scene and at the very least be a great companion for you while you do the dishes.
