All Chicks In The Mosh for In Hearts Wake’s New Video

Ahead of their Australian Tour kicking off in four days Byron Bay’s In Hearts Wake have released a music video for the song ‘Nomad‘ from their latest offering Ark [our review here] which features a full mosh pit of dedicated, headbanging women. The boys revealed why they just wanted to dedicate this song to the ladies stating:

“For far too long, heavy music has been male-dominated and we know that not everyone feels comfortable in the mosh pit. When filming the video for ‘Nomad’ we decided to take a different approach and call upon our female friends and fans to join us on location in the mosh pit.

“We wanted to create a safe space for self expression, to let loose and have fun. It’s very important to us that everyone feels comfortable and safe at our shows, and most importantly, a place where everyone is free to be themselves. We had an awesome time filming this clip and we’re very grateful to all the amazing people who made this a very memorable experience.

“Always remember, it’s NOT JUST BOYS’ FUN!”

And they make a good point too, guys have dominated the pits for decades and only now and then have I witnessed a girl brave enough to jump in too. This was a great idea to highlight the fact there’s plenty of women out there who an throw-down just as good as their male counterparts. Lets see some more of this at the boys’ upcoming shows with While She Sleeps, Crossfaith and Polaris.
