New Muse is very amusing to listen to.

Muse. Yeah, remember the legends who released ‘Knights of Cydonia, ‘Supermassive Black Hole‘ and ‘Starlight‘ from the epic Black Holes and Revelations album back in 2006… then put out a song for the Twilight movie soundtrack and it all went downhill from there? Well they’re back with a new song that’s surprisingly not as exciting as those above mentioned ones.

Dig Down‘ is another dub-step, migraine inducing song that returns to some of the familiar sounds heard in ‘Madness‘ which featured on 2012‘s The 2nd Law album. Frontman Matt Bellamy says the song has some good meaning behind it stating:

“When I was writing this song I was looking to counteract the current negativity in the world and give inspiration, optimism and hope to people to fight for the causes they believe in; that as individuals we can choose to change the world if we want to.”

Muse’s current band direction…

So, less bad and more good in the world according to Matt. Ok, let’s take a page from his book… listening to this song won’t kill you. How’s that?

No word on the album yet. That probably won’t kill you either.

  1. I think this has taken the trophy for worst Muse track ever for me. It’s grown on me a bit since my first listen, but it’s sub-par. Hopefully we’ll at least get another few better, rockier album tracks once the full release comes along…

  2. It’s so weird that this even exists. Listened to Absolution a few weeks ago and it’s still great. So… What the fuck happened Bellamy?!
