You Had ONE Job Grammys… One Job!

Metallica performing LIVE to the world at the Grammys should have been a pleasurable moment for any metal fan. Knowing the song choice was “Moth Into Flame” would have pulled in so many more viewers and that Lady GaGa was also performing with them would have been one of the biggest audiences they’ve ever seen, but some work experience kid employee forgot to turn on front-man James Hetfield‘s microphone for the duration of the start of the song.

Frustrating enough for anyone trying to give a performance let alone the band in question. We wonder if foul play was at hand or if it was a simple mistake. Either way, get among the footage below!

  1. I highly doubt that it was a “forgot to turn the mic on” situation. It is more likely that the mic channel was patched incorrectly during the rapid change-over.

  2. LOL! James should kicked his mic stand over earlier!
