Wall of Sound presents “2016 YEAR IN REVIEW” – by Chasing Ghosts’ Jimmy Kyle

Melbourne’s Chasing Ghosts (no, not the Amity album) has been doing the rounds for  a very long time changing up style as he went along, getting himself to the point where he wanted to be a name you’ll remember in the industry, and that time has come in 2016.

After releasing his second album I Am Jimmy Kyle this year and doing the touring circuit, fans have described the experience as a combination of the likes of City & Colour, D at Sea, Parkway Drive, Luca Brasi and more just to name a few. Expect big things from the man Jimmy Kyle and band in 2017, until then here’s his guest contribution for Wall of Sound’s 2016 Year in Review…

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2017?

Touring hard around Australia and o/s playing old tracks and new! There’s some good crew I’m keen to catch up with or check out for the first time. New band I dig is Introvert from Newy. Paper Thin another Newcastle band recently did a release; they’re sick. Advocates just dropped a new EP this month! These guys have an amazing live show! Brittle Bones are getting to drop some new tunes people need to get behind these guys, PLTS from Byron are awesome. My Echo are brilliant.

Earthcaller; Josh has written another record it’s unapologetically brutal! Make Them Suffer just go from strength to strength and have a new album in the new year also.

Lots to look out for when 2017 finally rolls our way soon. Huge thanks to Jimmy Kyle aka Chasing Ghosts. Looking forward to chucking you on our Bands We’ve Seen Multiple Times list mate, all the best and thanks for the guest contribution. See Chasing Ghosts in Feb Next Year!!
