Metallica… as you’ve never seen/heard them before

On the eve of the release of their brand new album Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, Metallica have been doing the promotion circuit to promote the new release and this week they stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a performance like never before.

Teaming up with resident house band The Roots the awesome foursome donned classroom musical instruments including ukuleles, kazoos, xylophones and other toddler favourites to give us fans a rendition of one of the band’s most recognizable songs “Enter Sandman“.

Featuring a not so intimidating front-man James Hetfield playing a multi-coloured flute, guitarist Kirk Hammett on a blow keyboard, bassist Robert Trujillo on guitar and drummer Lars Ulrich on a kiddy drum set the whole experience puts the guys in a light never before witnessed. Its hilariously awkward, yet we can’t turn away.

Check it out for yourself below. The new album is out tomorrow!
