FEATURE – Wall of Sound’s Top 7 Covers by Metallica
News this week hit that Metallica have completed their new album, Hardwired … to Self-Destruct. Not only have they completed the album but they’ve reconsidered the previously announced “riff origins” material on the album’s deluxe-edition bonus disc with a series of cover songs – including tracks made famous by Iron Maiden, Ronnie James Dio and Deep Purple.

So, we thought we would track back through the ample covers Metallica have attempted to make their own with our look at the band’s Top 7 Covers by Metallica, as the first of a few Metallica ‘specials’ we’ll have in the lead up to November 18 when Metallica’s tenth album, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct is released by the group’s independent label Blackened Recordings.
