Times of Grace to finally record follow up album in 2017

Who knew a visit to the hospital for emergency back surgery would spawn a legacy and spin off band that would still stand the test of time years later but for Killswitch Engage members Adam Dutkiewicz and Jesse Leach that’s exactly what has happened with Times of Grace following Adam’s surgery in 2007. Fast forward following the band’s debut album The Hymn of a Broken Man in 2011 then Jesse’s triumphant return to Killswitch in 2012, it seemed like the band had gone into indefinite hiatus with no plans to get back together anytime soon… or so we thought!

We recently sat down with Adam D and the topic of Times of Grace came up during the interview and the front-man revealed to us the emotional connection he had with the band’s album:

“That record has a tremendous place in my heart just because of when we made it, [and] where it came from. It just came from a different place inside of me.”

Now there had been talk of a follow up record by the band but it was nothing more than the same old whispers at this point, that was until he dropped this little surprise on us:

“We have already talked about making a new record and I’ve actually written about 6 demos already so it’s already in motion. I’m thinking we’ll be recording it next year, I’m absolutely on board making another record.”

Great news for fans who had given up on the idea of a reunion for the guys outside of their primary outfit. You can check out our full interview with Adam D here in the lead up to Killswitch Engage‘s Australian Tour next here.

Until next time, rock the fuck out
