It has been a year since Perth was graced with the sober, polite professionals known as CLAIM THE THRONE. The band have been locked away writing and recording the follow up to 2013’s FORGED IN FLAME and will be returning with scathing vengeance. Receiving high-acclaim in the melodic-death & folk metal underground, CLAIM THE THRONE have toured extensively nationally and overseas and are ready to pick up where things left off, beginning now!
In a Western Australian exclusive, the tyrannical blackened-death metal machine from Penang, Malaysia known as DISSECTOMY will be making their first trip down under! The band’s 2006’s TRIBULATION E.P. gained cult status throughout Asia, and the immense full-length comeback NEW TYRANNY UNSURPASSED in 2015 spread their popularity through the global extreme metal scene. Fans of Behemoth to Suffocation, Nile to The Black Dahlia Murder – DISSECTOMY is a band not to be missed in this rare mini-tour!
Bunbury’s finest death metal export SUFFER IN ROT has quickly made a name for themselves and rightly so! Last year’s debut album EVER TRIED KILL…? showcased the band’s old-school death metal influence with huge modern brutality, and after a slot at HAMMERSONIC FESTIVAL in Indonesia, SUFFER IN ROT have earned the move from newcomers to pro!
It’s rare to find death/grind bands in Perth that have an intensity as strong as UNRAVEL! These up and comers have been taking the hardcore/punk scene by storm due to their massive energy and old-school influences. It’s only a matter of time until they become one of the main attractions at local metal shows, fans of Carcass, Entombed, Napalm Death & Exhumed will be on board!
Melodic black/death band SEPTILLION have been making a name for themselves in WA the last few years due to their killer live show and awesome dark sound. This year’s INHERITANCE release has gained plenty of praise, and are the perfect excuse to head to the Bunbury show early!
