The Triffid, Brisbane
May 26th, 2016
Cherie Currie, the voice of ’70s all girl rock icons, The Runaways hit Australian shores last night for the very first time with Brisbane launching the Australian leg of the tour. Wall of Sound was there to capture some of the moments.
Currie will be in Australia all this week before finishing her Australian tour in Perth next Wednesday night, a show that Wall of Sound will cover extensively. Playing a host of Runaways classics, ‘Cherry Bomb’, ‘American Nights, ‘Queens of Noise’ just to name a few as well as a few interesting covers, the ‘Cherry Bomb’ herself, showed she still holds all the passion and power that blitzed the stage as a teenager back in the ’70s!
